APPELLATE ADVOCACY

Our appellate advocacy team is comprised of individuals who have prosecuted and defended numerous appeals involving varying issues before the Rhode Island Supreme Court, and other appellate tribunals.  Appeals are an important part of our legal system and are in many instances considered an extension of litigation matters.

Once a hearing or trial has taken part in your matter, the adjudicator (i.e. judge, jury, hearing officer, magistrate, etc.) will render a decision.  If a decision is not rendered in your favor, you may have certain rights under the law to file an appeal.  In most instances, the time to appeal is fairly short, and it is of the utmost importance that you obtain legal counsel immediately, if you have not done so already.
